Prefer not to use electric due to small children.|||I love my vinyl fences. They aren%26#039;t the cheapest but they aren%26#039;t to expensive and they are easy to install. They are safe for your horse and come in many styles. My ranch has the kind that looks like a real wood fence. You never have to repaint and most companies have warranties if something should ever happen- such as a faulty section or breaks or tears.
PLUS- all you have to do is use trailer wash to get dirt off the fence.|||The cheapest would probably be a wire mesh with T-posts, if you dont want electric.
Wood posts are preferable as it IS possible for a horse to get injured on a Tpost but quite uncommon.|||electric its only gunna hurt nothing else my dad sells feed and animal meds to the hutterites in south dakota and when i was little i would go play with the baby turkeys and stuff, in the barns they run an electricle line across the top of the feeders so that they dont get used to sitting ontop of them because they would break them when they got bigger i touched that line once and that was when i was five now im 15 and still havnt touched one again lol you learn really fast|||I use electric fence--it is reasonably priced and can be easily fixed or moved--I have 3 stallions %26amp; 2 mares-they have never gotten out--they all touched it once--if you don%26#039;t want your children to learn not to go in the pasture with horses--unplug it when they are outside--the horses will not touch it anyway--but maybe a good lesson for your kids to stay out of the pasture where they can get killed or badly injured!!! They won%26#039;t touch it but once either!|||a wooden fence.. it could most likely keep the kids out but also keep the horse from getting out of the pen.. but it all depends on how your horse acts.|||never use barbed wire or any other type of wires, unless it is an electric one.
it really depends on the horses. i use wood fences.
if you have any questions, i can help you out by seeing the behaviour of your horses
love.malachai@yahoo.ca|||It depends on whether your horses try and escape alot. If not just simple wood fencing, or if they are alot stronger you might need to invest in something, after all safety comes first, you don%26#039;t want horses roaming around with small children.|||An electric fence won%26#039;t kill a small child; being unsupervized in the horse pasture will.
Electric is the cheapest and most effective; with any other kind you will pay more because there are more materials involved in the construction, along with more manpower.
