What types of swords are best for fencing/battling while facing one that has a height advantage?

well currently me and my freind currently battle with swords but im always knocked on the ground before he becomes tired but i have more physical physique than him. we both use a standard katana i beat him before using a wide blade sword but not by enough sooooo... what type of sword would others recomend?|||The Dadao (澶у垁) (big knife), one of the varieties of dao or Chinese saber, is also known as the Chinese great sword. Based on agricultural knives, dadao have broad blades generally between two and three feet long, long hilts meant for %26quot;hand and a half%26quot; or two-handed use, and generally a weight-forward balance. Some were made for military use, but they were most commonly associated with civilian militias or revolutionaries. While not a particularly sophisticated sword, the weight and balance of the dadao gave it considerable slashing and chopping power, making it an effective close combat weapon for untrained troops; it was used in this role as late as the 1930%26#039;s in the Second Sino-Japanese War. During Operation Nekka the Chinese claim that whenever they had a chance for close engagement, the dadao is so deadly that they could cut off the heads of Japanese soldiers with ease.

so if you have more phyical physique than him and you are shoter. get close. if you get close, he wont be able to extend his arms to attack. so i think a dadao if best if you get close to him|||Forget the sword, use a naginata against his katana. But then of course if he gets to close the distance, you%26#039;re screwed.|||In my experience, light sabers work the best...|||A saber would work the best as you can step in and slash your opponent then step back out of range.|||Screw it, just grab a spear or halbeard........|||you should use knifes|||If you are stronger then him, take a medieval type two-handed sword
