What is the difference between spruce and cedar for fencing?

A Cedar fence will last at least five times longer than one made of Spruce. Cedar has always been a favorite for outdoor structures, including houses. King David%26#039;s house was made of Cedar.|||Spruce is a terrible candidate for fencing...it will rot above ground, is a target for termites, and will not last ...will begin to deteriorate within two years. Cedar does NOT rot above ground, is not a favorite of termites. Use either Cedar or Pressure treated lumber for fences.|||termites dont eat cedar|||cedar is a swamp tree therefor it holds up better in wet terrain

also cedar is MUCH lighter than spruce at the end of a day fencing ull bglad u used cedar lol
