Any suggestions of hawk proofing a back yard with netting or fencing? our dogs have to have indoor/outdoor ac?

we have 3 small chihuahuas and a red tailed hawk swooped down to get one of our smallest. They need to have indoor/outdoor access while we are away at work. What about a large covered kennel? We hate to do it, but don%26#039;t want anything to happen to them while we are at work.|||Yes,a large covered kennel would do nicely.I would cover it with chicken wire and then a tarp to provide shade and prevent the hawk from seeing them. Also make sure that the dogs cannot escape from the kennel. And put a lock on the gate and a doghouse for them to sleep in.I hope it is warm where you live?

Edit: Here%26#039;s a nice one:http://www.a1tarps.com/dog-kennels.html||| fix them a covered shelter that can be accessed from inside.|||Why do they %26quot;need%26quot; outdoor access while you%26#039;re gone?

There are predators other than hawks. Around here your dogs could also get taken by fishers or coyotes.
