With school summer vacation starting tomorrow I would like to see the fencing around the electricity UK substation at Fairfield Scalby Stockton-on-Tees repaired as a matter of urgency to prevent the death of another inquisitive child.|||I work for EDF Energy in the South East.
This is the electricity generator for your area who is responsible for the sub stations.
Northern Electric - NEDL : 0800 66 88 77
I%26#039;ve contacted them for you but you have to phone 0845 070 7172 between 9:00hrs and 17:00 hrs
Some street sub stations are fed via underground cables and it is not possible to come into contact with the live parts. If it%26#039;s a sub station with overhead cables get it reported now because it%26#039;s a killer. There will be at least 11,000 volts in the input cables and a child could get a shock if he went within a couple of yards of a live conductor.|||The Substation Fencing Repair Shop|||You%26#039;d need to phone the electricity company for your area, It will be their property (anyone else, council included will deny responsibility)|||There should be a metal sign posted *somewhere* on the perimeter of that substation with the emergency contact information. If there isn%26#039;t, then complain about that, too!
It would even be appropriate to call the local police on this one (but not the emergency number, just the local police office number).
