We are in the process of switching over ourselves.|||wood offer more privacy and neighbors friendly... go for the vinyl, composite or wood but make sure you maintain the wood fence with some wood sealant/protector.|||There are different grade of chain link fence. I would think it is cheaper than wood. More labor cost for the wood. It depends on the amount of privacy you want also and if you want the closed in look that the wood will give you. I need to put up wood fence on back lot to block my neighbors messy yard.|||I would prefer wood over chain. They go easier on the eyes and they are more %26quot;friendly looking%26quot;.
They may cost abit more and takes more time to install, but it will definitely be a good investment.
If you like gardening, You can always grow some creepers on it.|||chain link is far more cheaper, reason being --it takes less material, and labor, also wire is cheaper than cedar , Cyprus, or treated lumber
