Is it expensive to remove a drive way? Would it retain more value if I left it instead of fencing the property

A house I may buy has a small front yard, and a slightly larger back yard if we removed the not-so-nice car port. We%26#039;d like to fence off the entire property (which isn%26#039;t much aside from the house), w/a privacy fence. Is it going to be expensive to do this? In the end would either options affect the property value?

The car port has cement under it.|||The cost of the fence will depend on the material used. A privacy fence will increase the value.

Is there a garage in addition to the carport? If not... leave the carport for some sort of covered parking. Consider converting the carport into a garage. That will increase the value.|||To remove the driveway you would have to hire the contractor, his equipment and he would have to rent the dumpsters to dispose of the concrete, etc. Then you would probably have to get fill to fill in the empty spaces. Depending on the size it would run quite a few, not couple, thousand. If you plan on ever selling the place it would probably be better to do what the last gentleman said.
