Our neighbors stud horse got out of his fencing and hurt on of our horse very bad what are the laws for studs?

Are there regulations for stud horses fencing and is he resposible for the vet bills?|||It will depend specifically on your local laws, but generally the owner of any %26#039;animal at large%26#039; is financially responsible for the actions of that animal. He would be responsible for paying the vet bills. If they do not do so willingly, enlist an attorney. Many will do the initial consult for free. ||| This depends on where you are, Kathy. Most states do indeed have laws which will hold stallion owners responsible for their horses%26#039; actions. You need to contact an attorney and find out what your options are, and whether or not you have the right to sue to recover the vet bills for your horse. Depending on your state%26#039;s legal code, you may also have the right to have the stallion owner charged with criminal neglect for creating a situation in which another owner%26#039;s property or livestock became endangered or damaged ( e.g. hurt) because of his actions or lack of them. Lastly, I would also make sure to ask the attorney about who should be held responsible for your horse%26#039;s vet bills-chances are, it will be the stallion owner, not you.

I wish I could give more specific information, but I don%26#039;t know where you are. |||I think it%26#039;s common sense: The owner of the stallion is responsible for containing and controlling the animal and should be held responsible for the damages and vet bills.
