How many feet of fencing would cover an acre of land?

This is probably really obvious, but I%26#039;m not in a clever mood.|||An acre is a measure of area. Fence is a linear measurement. It depends on the shape of the property.

An acre is 43,560 square feet. If it happens to be a square shape each side would be 208 3/4 ft so the total would be 4 times that or 835 ft.

If for example the property was 100 ft x 435.6 ft it would take

2 x 100 + 2 x 435.6 = 1071.2 ft|||835%26#039;

Why you would want to do a circle, I have no clue why he said that but, that would be about 740%26#039;|||is it 3595 feet?, i love hidden answers.|||The least amount of fencing would be a circle encompassing one acre. RScott
