Is it ok to set concrete fencing posts while it is raining?

I am setting 4x4x8 posts for privacey fence and its going to be raining on and off. Is it ok to set these posts while it is raining?|||As long as it%26#039;s not too heavy, then yes. There is already water in the concrete, so it%26#039;s not going to make a lot of difference. I%26#039;ve done it myself whilst it%26#039;s been raining (fairly heavily) and no probs|||I answered your, er, post over in %26quot;Maintenance %26amp; Repairs%26quot; but here%26#039;s a summary.





Concrete will harden even underwater so a bit of light rain won%26#039;t hurt. However, a driving or heavy rain that hits shortly after the concrete is placed could wash cement particles off the top surface.





But setting fence posts in concrete really isn%26#039;t the best method anyway because it can encourage the posts to rot. Here%26#039;s how the pros build a fence:
