If you share a wooden privacy fence with neighbors,who is responsible to replace the fencing?

If it is directly on the property line you need to approach them in a friendly manner and discuss splitting the cost of maintaining the fence. If they refuse and you really want it fixed or maintained you will have to suck up the cost.|||The responsible party is the one that has the fence on their side of the property line. This is usually the person who put the fence up. If there is a question about the property line then check with your local tax assessor. The honorable thing to do is to work with your neighbor.
