Any suggestions on where I should look to find the most up to date invisible fencing for a yard with cats?

I need to buy one because my neighbors are threatening my cats. I will probably be installing it myself to save money, although I%26#039;m open to suggestions.|||try ebay

WHat is the consensus on wood and vinyl fencing? Which is better?

I eventually want to build a privacy fence, either cedar or vinyl. Some say the vinyl chips and cracks and that its not all its cracked up to be and to go with wood, some say the opposite, so , i%26#039;m trying to get opinions on this, of course wood costs half of what vinly does, so thats a consideration.|||Using redwood or cedar is going to cost a pretty penny and treated pine will cost less and last 10-15 years. Composite wood is going to again be costly but last the longest but it doesn%26#039;t do too well standing vertical unsupported as it tends to twist.

Vinyl will work provided you invest and pay a little more for a denser material but it really doesn%26#039;t bring that much as far as equity to your home. I%26#039;d go with treated pine followed up with a quality stain to get away from that funky green color.

%26lt;edits%26gt; Plus using vinyl requires a lot of extra work in prep as it has special anchoring systems for the posts where as wood requires a hole and a 80lb. bag of redimix concrete.|||I personally think that Cedar looks better then plastic... More natural. You have to maintain it though, but invite some friends over and hand them a brush! Just make sure to give them plenty of beer %26amp; food. :) Report Abuse
|||depending on the area that you live in, I personally would go with the vinyl, as long as it is uv protected

How do you clean a foil fencing mask?

more specifically, how do you clean the bib including the cushion part for your chin inside? that part tends to get sweaty a lot. the bib doesn%26#039;t come off and i can%26#039;t use a dishwasher for it. |||Have you tried windex?

That usually works...Just spay some inside and wipe it out with a towel...or fabreeze will work too...

Good luck!|||Very carefully with a little soapy water and a cloth.

How much does it cost to take up fencing?

After following fencing in the olympics and beating my friends senseless with Raphael on Soul Calibur, I%26#039;m seriously thinking about taking it up at a local club.. But i%26#039;m wondering how much it costs (拢) ie. average memberships, equipment cost etc

Thanks.. |||In UK:

拢30 monthly for the membership or 拢7 a day

拢400 for the equipment

Normally, you don%26#039;t need buy the equipment for the beginners class as the club provide everything for you.

Just try it! You will enjoy fencing, I%26#039;m sure!

There is one in Mandeville too|||Tulane has a fencing club, or at least it did when I was there. You might check with them on it, because they can probably tell you where it goes on or who else is involved.

Where can I buy barbed wire fencing?

Any farm supply store

Its a pity some of the people answering didnt read you question. Its kinda obvious you dont want it for fencing|||ask the chainsaw dude from the movie %26quot;texas chainsaw massacre%26quot;|||Try your local hardware store. Depends on where you are geographically, I suppose. If in the US, I suggest;

Tractor Supply Company

Ace Hardware

Normally I%26#039;d say Lowe%26#039;s and Home Depot but I practically live there, I frequent that section and I%26#039;ve never seen any BW at either place. Plus I just did an search on-line at their stores and got no results.|||I am builder by profession. I would like to know the reason what for buying the barbed wire, is it for fencing, Is it is which place you are going to use. If it is residential purpose and you want to fix the barbed wire in between buildings,it is objectionable. If some other purpose it should affect the neighbors. You can get this from building material suppliers in all the cities, and countries. You have not mentioned about which country you want this, Yours,

What is the best kind of fencing for horses that is affordable but still safe?

Prefer not to use electric due to small children.|||I love my vinyl fences. They aren%26#039;t the cheapest but they aren%26#039;t to expensive and they are easy to install. They are safe for your horse and come in many styles. My ranch has the kind that looks like a real wood fence. You never have to repaint and most companies have warranties if something should ever happen- such as a faulty section or breaks or tears.

PLUS- all you have to do is use trailer wash to get dirt off the fence.|||The cheapest would probably be a wire mesh with T-posts, if you dont want electric.

Wood posts are preferable as it IS possible for a horse to get injured on a Tpost but quite uncommon.|||electric its only gunna hurt nothing else my dad sells feed and animal meds to the hutterites in south dakota and when i was little i would go play with the baby turkeys and stuff, in the barns they run an electricle line across the top of the feeders so that they dont get used to sitting ontop of them because they would break them when they got bigger i touched that line once and that was when i was five now im 15 and still havnt touched one again lol you learn really fast|||I use electric fence--it is reasonably priced and can be easily fixed or moved--I have 3 stallions %26amp; 2 mares-they have never gotten out--they all touched it once--if you don%26#039;t want your children to learn not to go in the pasture with horses--unplug it when they are outside--the horses will not touch it anyway--but maybe a good lesson for your kids to stay out of the pasture where they can get killed or badly injured!!! They won%26#039;t touch it but once either!|||a wooden fence.. it could most likely keep the kids out but also keep the horse from getting out of the pen.. but it all depends on how your horse acts.|||never use barbed wire or any other type of wires, unless it is an electric one.

it really depends on the horses. i use wood fences.

if you have any questions, i can help you out by seeing the behaviour of your horses

love.malachai@yahoo.ca|||It depends on whether your horses try and escape alot. If not just simple wood fencing, or if they are alot stronger you might need to invest in something, after all safety comes first, you don%26#039;t want horses roaming around with small children.|||An electric fence won%26#039;t kill a small child; being unsupervized in the horse pasture will.

Electric is the cheapest and most effective; with any other kind you will pay more because there are more materials involved in the construction, along with more manpower.
